Snapshot history
Live preview answers What is on the screen now? Snapshot history helps with What was on it earlier?
Snapshot history is off by default. Open Settings > Snapshot history to turn it on.

These limits work independently. If a screen reaches its snapshot-count limit, the oldest image is removed even if it is still within the age limit.
Storage
Section titled “Storage”Snapshots are stored in the Tilecast database and are included in database backups. Turning the feature on can therefore make backups larger.
Studio shows the current snapshot count so you can see how much history is being kept.
Scheduled snapshots use the same capture path as live preview. A manual preview that is saved to history is marked as manual.
Only screens that are currently reporting are asked to take a snapshot. A missing snapshot does not mean the display showed the wrong content; the Player may simply have been offline or unable to capture at that time.
Users can only see snapshots for screens they are allowed to access.
