Monitor Tilecast Edge
Edge is meant to appear in the same Studio tools as other Tilecast Players. You should not need a separate monitoring workflow just because a screen runs Edge.
Screen status and Activity
Section titled “Screen status and Activity”Edge reports connection state, the current presentation and item, schedules, Takeovers, synchronization, playback progress, and available hardware features.
Use screen status for the normal Fleet status meanings and Activity for playback history and incidents.
Activity events that cannot be sent during a temporary outage are kept locally and retried after the Player reconnects.
Telemetry
Section titled “Telemetry”Edge reports Player health information such as connection and playback state, renderer state, content-cache use, storage, uptime, clock offset, and supported display measurements.
Live preview
Section titled “Live preview”The M8 work adds live preview from the WPE renderer through Tilecast’s existing preview flow. Setup, pairing, and safe-mode screens do not appear as a normal content preview.
Use the normal Live preview page.
When an Edge screen needs attention, start with Fleet, Activity, and live preview. Check local status and system logs when Studio does not show enough information.
